The songstress' latest single, 'Without Me', has become her first No. 1 single as a lead artist on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

AceShowbiz - Halsey has come a long way since her humble beginnings as a social media star who liked to cover songs. Welcoming the new year to a great start, the pixie-haired songstress has just gotten a new milestone after her 2018 single, "Without Me", finally topped Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Dubbed as her most personal song, the single became her first No. 1 single as a lead artist on the chart and her second overall after her collaboration with The Chainsmokers, "Closer", did the same in 2016. Due to the single topping the chart, Halsey became the eighth woman to achieve multiple No. 1s on the Billboard's Hot 100 during the 2010s, following the likes of Katy Perry, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

Talking about the recent achievement, Capitol Records executive vp of promotion Greg Marella mused, "There's an edge to her that she's always had, and still has. She is embraced by a rock audience, a hip-hop audience, a pop audience. She doesn't just live in a pop lane. Not every artist can do that."

Meanwhile, Billboard stated, "There's no cheat code that 'Without Me' used to get to the top of the Hot 100 -- it's just really polished, successful pop single, the type that Halsey has been tossing out more and more frequently."

"Without Me" is additionally nominated at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best Lyric. She also scores nods for Favorite Female Artist category and Best Cover Song for Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dreams". On the other hand, her "Eastside" collaboration with Benny Blanco and Khalid is up for Best Song at the 2019 Global Awards.

Besides the massive success of "Without Me", Halsey has also hit 1 billion streams on Spotify recently. Thanking her fans for the continuous support, she said, "Love you; so much. Didn't even drop an album last year. Put out 2 songs. You guys are unbelievable. I can't even wrap my heard around this."
