AceShowbiz - Chris Brown has been sanctioned in his legal battle with his former manager for allegedly refusing to hand over records from past drug tests.

Mike Guirguis initially sued Brown in 2016, accusing the singer of false imprisonment, assault, battery, defamation and breach of contract seven years after he was hired to help repair his image following his infamous attack on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, in 2009.

Guirguis accused the "Fine China" star of blowing off requests to hand over documents and information in their ongoing lawsuit last month, December 2018, claiming he served Brown with requests for the documents several months ago, and still hadn't received them.

He was particularly interested in a series of drug test results from 2016, which he maintains will prove the star was seeking anger management treatment at the time.

According to The Blast, Guirguis was seeking $3,825 (£3,000) from Brown, but he was only awarded $1,760 (£1,400). The judge also ordered Brown to give his former manager the documentation he is seeking.

Meanwhile, Brown has previously denied his former manager's allegations, accusing Guirguis of stealing money from him, which prompted the original plaintiff to add defamation to his complaint.
