Carlos Almanzar has been subpoenaed to share details of the 'Bodak Yellow' hitmaker's relationship with ex-manager Klenord 'Shaft' Raphael who sued her for breach of contract.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B's father has been subpoenaed in her $15 million (£11.8 million) legal battle with her ex-manager.

Cardi's former representative Klenord 'Shaft' Raphael sued her for $10 million (£7.9 million) last year (18) stating that ditching him breached their contract. The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker has since countersued Klenord for $15 million claiming he exploited her naivete to sign her to deals that took an unfair portion of her earnings for services provided.

Court documents obtained by U.S. website The Blast filed last Wednesday, January 02, show the rapper's legal team have been served with a subpoena for her dad, Carlos Almanzar, requesting he reveal anything he knows about his daughter's relationship with her ex-manager.

Klenord's legal team had also threatened to compel her estranged husband, Migos rapper Offset, real name Kiari Cephus, to testify, and the filings confirm that Cardi's lawyers have received a subpoena in his name and are investigating if they can be served on his behalf.

He and Cardi split up in December, but are reportedly planning to reconcile after holidaying together in Puerto Rico over the Christmas period.

The rapper, real name Belcalis Almanzar, claims in her lawsuit that Klenord took advantage of her "trust and naivete" and, "persuaded her to sign contracts and to enter into deals in which Mr. Raphael attempted to take an unreasonable and unconscionable portion of earnings in the entertainment industry for himself."

The 26-year-old alleges the music manager broke their deal entitling him to 20 per cent of her income by failing to provide monthly accounting, not appointing an independent business manager, and by not paying her the money she was owed. Both cases are ongoing.
