AceShowbiz - HBO has released a new promo of its upcoming shows which will air this year. Aired during the 2019 Golden Globes, the new footage offers a new glimpse at the eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" which will air this April.
The short clips opens with a scene of a dragon busting through the wall. Later, it can be seen that Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), with Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) trailing behind her, walking towards the Stark family including Sansa (Sophie Turner). That marks the first meeting between the Mother of Dragons and Sansa in the show's history.
"Winterfell is yours, your grace," Sansa says to Dany. While it shows that Sansa pledges herself to Dany, fans seemingly catches a rather sarcasm and reluctance in the former's tone. Also present in the scene are Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).
Fans assume that the group are assembling to prepare the big fight against the Army of the Dead, which is led by the Night King himself.
Nothing much is known about the final season of the hit HBO series. However, Christie previously teased at the premiere of her new movie "Welcome to Marwen" that it would make fans "need therapy." She went on saying, "I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help."
"I think it's going to make me incredibly emotional," she added. "We're all emotional about the fact that this is the end, and this is the end of something incredibly significant for all of us, and it's been a truly incredible thing to be a part of."
HBO has yet to announce the exact premiere date of season 8 of "Game of Thrones", but the much-anticipated season is set to arrive in April 2019 on HBO.
