The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star lands in hot water after sharing a picture of his daughter making racist gesture while dining with him.

AceShowbiz - What supposed to be Scott Disick's best date of the year went south after he shared a picture from his night out with daughter Penelope on Instagram. Shortly after the picture was posted on the social media site, the reality television star came under fire for letting his second child with Kourtney Kardashian make racist gesture in the picture.

The photo in question featured Scott sitting alongside the little girl inside a Japanese restaurant. While the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star was holding a pair of chopsticks in the image, Penelope could be seen spreading her eyes which had been construed as a racist gesture towards the Asian community. Within minutes, negative comments came pouring in.

Most of them were parent-shaming Scott for letting her daughter doing that gesture. "Better teach your kid not to make eye thing with chopsticks," one comment read, as another called her behavior "inappropriate" and scolded the restaurateur for not correcting his child. One other noted that Penelope is a "very cute kid," but added, "teach her not to do the Chinese eye thing at a sushi restaurant. Don't teach her to be a racist. Cause that's what's gonna happen."

However, there were also many who defended Scott and his daughter, suggesting that the girl was just making silly face instead of racist gesture. "You all are over reacting. She is just making a funny face. Leave her alone please," one commented as one other echoed, "She is pulling eyes up not sideways. Just a kid making silly face. Let's all calm down. What happened to this world?"

"She's being a kid... stop with everything either being racist or p.c... save the powder for something worth fighting about," a third said. There was also someone who told Scott and Penelope to just enjoy their date without minding the negative responses.
