The Mac Miller Circles Fund, which was set up after the passing of the 'Goosebumpz' rapper, will benefit young people from undeserved communities in the MC's hometown.

AceShowbiz - A charitable organisation set up after rapper Mac Miller's death has raised $700,000 to help the youth in his hometown .

According to editors at TMZ, The Mac Miller Circles Fund has raised $700,000 (£555,000) to date, including $350,000 (£278,000) during the A Celebration Of Life concert tribute held in Los Angeles last October (18).

The Mac Miller Circles Fund provides programming, resources, and opportunities to young people from underserved communities in Pittsburgh.

The remaining amount, which was collected in donations by Miller's fans, will be used to help young people in his hometown "recognize their full potential through exploration in the arts and community building".

Miller, an ex-boyfriend of singer Ariana Grande, died of an overdose in September of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.

Following his death, which was determined accidental by the Los Angeles Coroner, the "Self Care" rapper's manager, Christian Clancy, wrote an op-ed dedicated to the late 26-year-old.

He paid homage to Miller's enthusiasm and devotion to the production of his final studio album "Swimming" for which he received a posthumous Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album last month.
