The judge in charge of the case has agreed to extend the duration of the order after recognizing Lutfi's past involvement in Britney Spears' life before her infamous 2009 breakdown.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Courtney Love has won a permanent restraining order against her former manager Sam Lutfi.

The Hole star initially obtained a temporary protection order against Britney Spears' one-time manager in early December (2018), claiming he had been harassing her and her family over money he insists she owes him as her ex-aide.

Courtney returned to a Los Angeles court on Wednesday, January 02, when the judge ruled in her favour and ordered Lutfi to stay away from her, her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, and her sister for the next five years.

According to The Blast, the judge recognised Lutfi's name and decided to extend the restraining order to five years instead of the usual three, after noting his past involvement in Britney's life, shortly before she suffered her infamous 2009 breakdown which led to her father becoming the singer's co-conservator.

At the time of Love's initial court victory against Lutfi, her lawyer, Howard King, issued a statement to TMZ, explaining why the rocker had to turn to the legal system for help.

"The escalating verbal harassment and threats of Sam Lutfi left no choice to Courtney and her family but to seek protection," King said. "The Cobains are grateful for the anti-harassment order issued by the Los Angeles Superior Court against Mr. Lutfi and the powers it provides law enforcement to assure that Mr. Lutfi terminates all contact with the family."
