When asked what it was like shooting shirtless most of the time for the superhero movie, the 'Game of Thrones' actor recalls the time he was not ready to remove his top but was told to.

AceShowbiz - Jason Momoa was nervous to go shirtless prior to shooting one "Aquaman" scene.

The "Game of Thrones" actor portrays Arthur Curry/Aquaman in James Wan's new superhero movie, which is based on the DC Comics character of the same name.

While Jason trained for months to get into peak physical condition for his role as a half-Atlantean/half-human, he admits he was worried about removing his top in front of producers while they were conducting test shoots.

"They did a test, and I wasn't supposed to be shirtless, I was supposed to have a tank top on, because we weren't ready to do the shirtless scene yet," he recalled in a video interview with Collider. "It takes a long time - you have to starve yourself - and I wasn't ready yet and (producer) Peter Safran was like, 'We really want you to do this scene shirtless.' And I'm like, 'Dude, I'm not there yet.' (But) James really wanted that to happen. (So, I decided) F**k it. I took the shirt off and (started) the fight, 'cause at the end of the day Aquaman is not the kind of guy who is sitting around doing sit-ups anyway."

"Aquaman" also stars Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson in the role of Orm, and Nicole Kidman as Aquaman's mother Atlanna.

Even though the new flick doesn't feature as many cameos from DC Comics characters like other movies in the universe, such as 2017's "Justice League", Jason commented that there are two other figures he'd like to see in a potential "Aquaman" sequel.

"I love Flash. I absolutely love Ezra (Miller), he's like family to me. Just to have him on set... but you can't have Flash come strolling through the set, it just doesn't work," the 39-year-old smiled. "I think Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) would be pretty rad, too. Flash and Wonder Woman would be my first two."
