AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth recently shocked a lot of people with their surprise wedding. Now, further details regarding the on-and-off couple's intimate nuptials, which took place at their home in Tennesse, have made its way out online.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the ceremony went exactly as what both Miley and Liam had hoped. The couple, who first met on the set of "The Last Song", looked very much in love with each other as they were "smiling ear to ear" during the ceremony. It's said that their friends were "so excited for them," and even Miley's mom Tish Cyrus "was tearing up as they exchanged vows."
The insider went on explaining that Miley and her actor husband wanted to keep their wedding small and intimate and didn't even prepare it for too long. "The gathering was small and intimate and rather spontaneous," so the source said. "They did some quick pre-planning before the holiday and decided that they didn't want a big elaborate wedding. They truly wanted to keep it a secret."
"They just wanted the people most important in their lives present. It was so touching," the insider continued. "They decided to do it at their home in Tennessee as they have talked about it in the past." The source also said that the "Malibu" singer "knows she is taking an important step towards building their future and she knows Liam is the perfect match for her."
Miley confirmed her marriage to "The Hunger Games" actor on Wednesday, December 23 with a series of touching photos of the couple during the nuptials. One picture showed the lovebirds embracing each other as she wrote in the caption, "10 years later....," which was a reference to how love they have been together. Liam also posted the same picture and wrote, "My love," along with a red heart emoji.

She also shared a video taken from the ceremony, showing her dancing to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' collaboration "Uptown Funk". Liam, who filmed his singer wife, later showed his face to the camera to join her goofy dance session.
