Trina Braxton's ex-husband Gabe Solis passed away on December 21, and when she posted a promotional photo on the very next day, social media users slammed her for it.

AceShowbiz - Tamar Braxton has broken her silence after she was being slammed for posting promotional photos while her sister Trina Braxton is mourning the death of her ex-husband, Gabe Solis. Tamar then takes to Instagram to stand up for herself after receiving the backlash.
"There is NO RESPECT when it comes to social media," she wrote on her account. "I don't believe it was designed for people to have a platform to bully, say what they want, to create mess, or speak against you or to control your destiny."
"I'm trying things a little bit differently these days. So me posting about @gabe_solis1234 death BEFORE Trina and her asking that we keep it private for his family's sake would have been in bad taste and also going against my sisters trust," Tamar went on explaining. She also shared that she's "on vacation and we heard about the news shortly before you all did."
It was reported that Gabe, who died of cancer, kept his health issue in secret, and Tamar revealed in her post that she just "found out he was sick just 3weeks ago."
"NO ONE expected this!!! All I have to say is I'm sorry to his family for their loss and to @trinabraxton1 who is really hurt and devastated," she concluded. "Please be kind to yourselves and others.. and my family at this time. remember it is the holiday season it can't be easy for NONE of us. I'm dedicated this post to you Gabriel dancing to your song ( big punisher) in my inexpensive @fashionnova jumper... see i do listen to u.. i don't spend a lot of money on clothes ( cheap a**) rest easy BIL #imsosorry."
Gabe died on Friday, December 21, and Tamar landed on hot water after promoting the fashion brand the very next day. She wrote in the caption, "I ain't got nothing going on," which angered social media users. "Didn't ya sister ex just pass wow I see how yall do smh," one commenter wrote under the post.
Gabe passed away in Texas, surrounded by friends and family. His passing came as a surprise for those who are close to him as he didn't seem to show any sign that he was in poor health. Gabe, who married Trina in 2003 before splitting in 2015, uploaded a photo of him looking healthy on Instagram as recent as December 8.
