Following the disbandment of Jonas Brothers, he continues to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with as he released hit after hit, and even received honors for his continuous work in the industry.

Let's talk about his self-titled debut album, which debuted at No. 6 on Billboard 200 and featured singles such as "Chains" and "Jealous". The latter singer peaked at No. 7 on Billboard's Hot 100 and became his highest-charting single and highest-selling single to date, selling 3 million copies. Even the music video for the song received positive reviews and was praised for using inspirational quotes in the background.

Further proving his skill, Nick released his sophomore album "Last Year Was Complicated" on June 10, 2016 to generally positive reception. The record debuted as the No. 1 selling album of the week and arrived at No. 2 on Billboard 200, becoming his highest-peaking entry as a solo artist on the chart. Meanwhile, lead single "Close" featuring Tove Lo was a top twenty hit on Billboard's Hot 100.

His hard work on the album was definitely paid off because he was honored with the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame. "Nick Jonas is one of the brightest and most versatile young talents on the American pop scene," said Hall of Fame co-chairs Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff. "Nick has literally grown up in public, and the growth is reflected in his songwriting and singing."

Nick's talent was even more recognized as his contribution to "Ferdinand" soundtrack, "Home", was nominated at both the 2018 Golden Globe Awards and Guild of Music Supervisors Award. He was additionally nominated for Best World Stage at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards. In the same year, he unearthed his collaboration with Robin Schulz, "Right Now". The track peaked at No. 14 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in addition to ruling music chart in Sweden.
