Fans have uncovered a number of online posts made by the model wife of John Legend that contained transphobic slurs or took aim at Mariah Carey and Lindsay Lohan.

AceShowbiz - Chrissy Teigen has been slammed after a series of historic offensive tweets came to light.

The model and social media influencer has gained a huge following online with her tongue-in-cheek posts across Twitter and Instagram. However, fans have started to turn on Chrissy now that a number of shocking Twitter posts dating back to 2010 have been unveiled, many of which were aimed at fellow celebrities.

"why is anyone surprised mariah is having twins? i was always pretty positive there were 2-15 babies growing inside of her," she wrote making fun of singer Mariah Carey's weight in December 2010.

Another from January 2011 referred to Lindsay Lohan and appeared to trivialise self-harm, with Chrissy posting: "lindsay adds a few more slits to her wrists when she sees emma stone."

The 33-year-old also wrote multiple tweets containing transphobic slurs, including one from May 2011 that described Thailand's reputation as a "dirty, drugged out, sex filled, ping pong tranny place," and she additionally mocked the reality show America's Next Top Model by instead calling it "'americas next top tranny' because this s**t has been transtastic for the past 5 years (sic)."

Chrissy, who has been married to singer John Legend since 2013, would have been between the ages of 25 and 26 when she posted the tweets.

Critics have hit back at the mother-of-two by tweeting under the #ChrissyTeigenIsOverParty hashtag.

"1)@chrissyteigen has never been funny . 2) this is disgusting," wrote one user, while another added, "not surprised nor disappointed, I never find her tweets funny tbh (to be honest) more like try hard."

WENN has contacted Chrissy's representatives for comment.
