The Will Ngo-directed music video features a crime scene which reveals how the rapper's father died in an attempted robbery.

AceShowbiz - Meek Mill continues treating fans to music video for his "Championships" tracks. This time, the Philadelphia rapper unearthed a Will Ngo-directed cinematic video for "Trauma" on Wednesday, December 19, just hours after teasing it on Instagram.

As the song is about a nostalgic reminiscence of events that were deeply distressing for Meek, the music video revolves around him recalling the dark experience. It opens with a younger Meek writing about how much he misses his late father before a crime scene reveals how an attempted robbery leads to his death. Another scene shows his mom looking sad as she mourns her late husband.

There also scenes of current Meek hanging out with friends and smoking weeds as he raps about his dark past. "They want blood, we all hangin' with a noose on our neck/ My celly mom just died, he wanna use my collect," the 31-year-old spits. "And he won't make it to the wake unless he give 'em a check/ We still n***s though, what you expect?"

"Trauma" is the second track off "Championships". Talking about the song during an interview, he said that it "was my story of what I been through, basically, coming up or what I've seen, in and out prison. I talk about guys in there like, what I say, like guys we may have looked up to our whole life to where their life got contained to like having to work for the system."

"I rap about the experience of people not being able to call their son or daughter, wish 'em on prom and the trauma that we go through, coming up in the street life that we was bought into and the lifestyle we used to praise so much," he continued. "But it was short-lived and it was only disastrous for most people I know. So I just wanted to give people the different layers of what goes in these lines."
