AceShowbiz - Benicio Del Toro has been tapped to voice villain fox Swiper in an upcoming live-action version of "Dora the Explorer".

The "Sicario" star will join "Transformers: The Last Knight" actress Isabela Moner, who plays Dora, and a supporting cast which includes Eva Longoria, Michael Pena, Eugenio Derbez, and Adriana Barraza.

The film will focus on Dora's navigation through the trials and tribulations of high school, having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her family. However, education has to take a back seat when she and her friends must solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilisation and save her parents.

The shoot recently wrapped in Australia, but Del Toro's vocals will be added post-production.

The movie is being directed by James Bobin and is set to be released in August, 2019.
