Sharing first pictures of their newborn baby boy, the Prayers rocker says he's 'the happiest' he's ever been in his life.

AceShowbiz - Kat Von D and Leafar Seyer, whose real name is Rafael Reyes, are now officially first-time mom and dad. The couple has welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Leafar Von D Reyes, through a home birth. They took to Instagram on Sunday, December 2 to share the good news as well as the first pictures of their newborn son.

"Meet our beautiful baby boy, Leafar Von D Reyes," Kat wrote along with a photo of her rocker husband holding their son. "Thank you to all our beloved friends+family, fans+followers for your patience in us announcing his long awaited arrival!"

The tattoo artist announced their plan to retreat from social media in the next 40 days, adding, "To be honest, my husband @prayers and I want to take the next 40 days [the 4th trimester] to focus on the baby and our amazing relationship transitioning into amazing parenthood - so, please excuse us if we're not on here as much for a little while."

Her 43-year-old husband Leafar took to his own Instagram account to share his other pictures with the baby boy, who sleeps soundly in his father's arms while being wrapped in a black blanket, the couple's signature color. "whats above love? My wife and my son are," he wrote in the caption.

Overwhelmed with happiness, the member of rock band Prayers continued sharing, "It might not look like it on the outside but on the inside I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life! This year has given me so much to be happy and grateful for." He also praised his wife, "I love you so much kitty I've never seen anyone fight for anything the way you fought to bring our son into this world. Magick is real and so is my love for you @thekatvond."

Kat married Rafael on February 21 of this year, before holding an elaborate wedding ceremony in June at the Beverly Hills Hotel where she wore a non-traditional red gown and veil. A month prior, in May, she announced that they're expecting their first child.

Before the baby's birth, the "LA Ink" star revealed her plan to have a home birth. "We're excited to have a natural, unmedicated, drug-free home birth in water," she told Us Weekly in September.

She said she was inspired to give birth at home after watching Ricki Lake's 2008 documentary "The Business of Being Born". "It was life-changing," she explained. "After that we ditched the doctors and found a midwife. We did a lot of research. We're excited."
