In an interview with the magazine, the 42-year-old former reality star opened up about her motivations for this drastic transformation.

Growing weary of many of her previous tattoos, which she felt no longer aligned with her current self, Kat embarked on the blackout process. She collaborated with renowned tattoo artist Hoode, who specializes in blackout tattooing. Impressed by Hoode's ability to "clean up messes," Kat initially intended to cover only one arm before deciding to commit to blacking out her entire body.

The process took 17 sessions and almost 40 hours of work, leaving Kat "about 80% done" with her transformation. She flew to Philadelphia from her new home in Indiana to complete the sessions. Explaining her decision to cover up, Kat admitted that some of her old tattoos "represented a part of my life that no longer aligns with who I am today." She found the constant reminders of her past to be tiresome and expressed satisfaction in the "clean slate" that the blackout tattoos provide. Notably, she left the portrait of her father on her forearm untouched.

Kat's physical transformation mirrors her spiritual journey. After moving to Indiana with her family, she renounced witchcraft and converted to Christianity in 2023. She found solace in her faith and shed the "crutches" of her past beliefs. "I don't want these crutches in my life anymore," she said. "I just want Jesus."

Despite acknowledging potential negativity from critics, Kat remains unbothered. She emphasized the importance of ignoring "noise" and focusing on her own vision. "Or at least not let it derail you," she advised. While she admits to being slightly offended by negative comments, she dismisses them as "most of the time just annoyed at ignorance."

Kat's blackout tattoo cover-up and spiritual growth reflect a profound personal transformation. Through these experiences, she has found a sense of liberation and embraced a new chapter in her life.
