AceShowbiz - Miguel obtained a marriage licence on Monday, November 19 in preparation for his upcoming wedding to his high school sweetheart.
The "Adorn" singer got engaged to model Nazanin Mandi in early 2016 and they became one step closer to walking down the aisle on Monday when they paid a visit to a Los Angeles courthouse to obtain a marriage licence.
Sources have told TMZ.com the couple signed official documents in the presence of a group of friends, who cheered them on and they all ended up in a big group hug.
The 33-year-old R&B crooner has known Nazanin since he was 18. They started dating in 2005, long before he signed his first record deal and she began her modelling career.
Engagement speculation began in January 2016 when the model posted a selfie on Instagram and showed off a large diamond sparkler on her ring finger.
A source confirmed the happy news to E! News at the time, saying his proposal was "very heartfelt and real" and "done perfectly".
The insider added, "Nazanin and Miguel are really excited to get married! They've been together for some time and knew that they were going to spend their lives together... All of their friends and family think they are the best couple and really complement each other."
It is not publicly known when their wedding will take place.
