AceShowbiz - Rapper Tyler, the Creator has served up an early holiday treat for fans with a collection of songs inspired by his work on new animated movie "The Grinch".

The "Flower Boy" MC was invited to revamp the classic theme song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" for the latest screen adaptation of the grumpy Dr. Seuss character, this time voiced by "Doctor Strange" star Benedict Cumberbatch.

He also contributed an original tune, titled "I Am The Grinch", to the project's official soundtrack, but it appears his creative juices were overflowing while he was working on fresh material for the festive film, and now he's dropped a six-song EP inspired by "The Grinch".

Tyler teased the release on Thursday, November 15 by sharing "Lights On", his collaboration with singers Santigold and Ryan Beatty, and unveiled the full EP on Friday.

"The Grinch", also features the voices of Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, and Angela Lansbury, while Pharrell Williams serves as the film's narrator.

The 1957 novel was previously adapted for an animated TV special in 1966, while Jim Carrey starred in the live-action comedy version, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", in 2000.
