In celebration of 2018 CMA Awards, Kacey, Dierks, Lauren Alaina, Rascal Flatts and many other country singers are taking part in a segment on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'.

AceShowbiz - Kacey Musgraves and Dierks Bentley have responded to mean Twitter messages as part of a humorous TV segment.

The singers both appeared on the latest country music edition of "Mean Tweets", aired in honour of the 2018 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, during an episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday night (November 14).

To kick off the segment, in which celebrities read critical tweets about themselves, Kacey shared a comment which stated, "PUT SOME CLOTHES ON KASEY MUSGRAVES, that outfit is not country."

The star, who won Album of the Year for her record "Golden Hour" at the CMAs, then glanced down at her outfit and noted: "It's kinda not."

While Dierks smiled as he read a message which read, "Dierks Bentley sucks and I'll happily tell him about it at his concert on Saturday," and Thomas Rhett appeared unfazed when he read a note that said, "I bet Thomas Rhett's jeans are bedazzled."

Luke Combs had a good laugh when he read a tweet which said he appeared "like the human manifestation of cornbread," and Lauren Alaina smiled as she read out, "I listened to Lauren Alaina today and I cried. Not because she touched my heart or anything. Her voice busted my windows."

And the musicians from Midland - Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson - seemed amused that a Twitter user thought they "all look like Sacha Baron Cohen in various disguises."

But perhaps the most fun was had by Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts, who laughed when they read a comment in which they were compared to famously divisive Canadian rock group Nickelback.

"People who say Nickelback is the worst band obviously haven't heard Rascal Flatts," Jay sighed, before launching into an impression of Chad Kroeger singing 2005 song "Photograph".

"It's hard to sing that way," the star smiled, before Joe jokingly replied, "It is. That's why they're not singing much anymore."

Jake Owen, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay, Scotty McCreery, and Ashley McBryde also appeared in the segment.
