AceShowbiz - Christmas is still one month away, but Katy Perry has already given her fans their presents. The "Teenage Dream" hitmaker surprised fans on Wednesday, November 14 by releasing an original Christmas song entitled "Cozy Little Christmas".

Produced and written by the singer herself with the help of Grammy nominee Greg Wells and Ferras Alqaisi, the song finds Katy singing about what a perfect Christmas is for her. She rhymes that she doesn't need diamonds or any sparkly things because she only needs her lover by her side on the special day. Is the song directed at her boyfriend Orlando Bloom?

"I don't need diamonds, no sparkly things/ 'Cause you can't buy this a-feeling/ Nothing lights my fire or wraps me up, baby, like you do/ Just was a cozy, a cozy little Christmas here with you," she showcases her stunning vocals over the joyful melodies.

"Cozy Little Christmas" is currently available on Amazon Music only, but fans could hear a preview through her social media accounts. "For all my friends secretly buying their tree already SURPRISE! Christmas comes early!" she wrote on Twitter.

The song marks her first original single since releasing her chart-topping album "Witness" last year. It is also a follow-up to her last holiday song, "Every Day Is a Holiday", which was unveiled back in 2015 as a part of her partnership with H&M's Christmas shopping campaign.

Earlier this month, the "American Idol" judge unveiled a cover of "Waving Through a Window" from Broadway smash "Dear Evan Hansen". Talking about her take on the song, Katy revealed that she was motivated to release a cover of "Waving Through a Window" after watching an original performance of the song.

"I embodied the mental isolation I sometimes fought," she said in a statement. "So when my friends [Benj Pasek] and [Justin Paul] came to me and asked if I would like to re-record this song, not only to help launch the national tour, but to continue on mental health and all its complexities, I jumped right in."
