AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin has broken his silence after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a man during a fight over parking spot in Manhattan. Taking to Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation's Twitter account instead of his personal Twitter account, the "30 Rock" alum denied that he punched the other man.
Claiming that the reports were "egregiously misstated," he wrote, "However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false. I wanted to go on the record stating as much. I realize that it has become a sport to tag people w as many negative..."

He continued in a separate post, "negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment." He added, "Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos, it doesn't make the statements true."

Previously, it was reported that the 60-year-old actor punched a 49-year-old man over a parking spot outside his apartment near 10th Street and Fifth Avenue in the Greenwich Village neighborhood on Friday, November 2. The other guy allegedly swooped into a space Alec was preparing to park in himself and he became irritated. He allegedly punched the guy in the face, leaving him with a swollen jaw. The victim was subsequently taken to Lenox Hill Hospital for treatment.
Alec was arrested by New York Police Department officers and has been charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment. He was released from the NYPD's 10th Precinct without bail and will be arraigned on November 26.
President Donald Trump, who is often impersonated by Alec on "Saturday Night Live", has commented on the actor's arrest. "I wish him luck," he simply told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House.
