The 'Iron Man 3' actress and the 'Baby Driver' star join the likes of Millie Bobby Brown and Alexander Skarsgard in the fourth film in Legendary's MonsterVerse.

AceShowbiz - Rebecca Hall and Eiza Gonzalez will find themselves in the middle of a battle between two of the biggest monsters on Earth. Both actresses have been cast as the new leads in Legendary's "Godzilla vs. Kong".
Variety first reported of Hall's casting, while the news about Gonzalez landing the role was first brought into attention by Deadline. Details about their characters, however, are not available as of now. They will star opposite Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgard, "Deadpool 2" actor Julian Dennison and "Atlanta" star Brian Tyree Henry who were earlier tapped for the movie.
Plot details are still scarce, but the action movie will see the two titular classic monsters squaring off to become the king of all monsters. Skarsgard is reported to play the leader of a military unit, while Brown is expected to reprise her "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" role as Madison Russell.
"Godzilla: King of the Monsters" is the third film in Legendary's MonsterVerse and serves as a sequel to 2014's "Godzilla". Brown is starring in the movie along with Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins and Zhang Ziyi among others. It is set to bow in the U.S. on May 31, 2019.
"Godzilla vs. Kong" will serve as a follow-up to "King of the Monsters" and feature King Kong, another creature in Legendary's MonsterVerse. It is written by Terry Rossio and directed by Adam Wingard. It is scheduled for a May 22, 2020 release in the United States.
Hall got her breakthrough role in Christopher Nolan's 2006 film "The Prestige". She received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress for her portrayal of Vicky in Woody Allen's 2008 romantic comedy-drama "Vicky Cristina Barcelona". She also starred in "The Town" and "Iron Man 3", and will next be seen in action comedy film "Holmes & Watson".
As for Gonzalez, she is best known for portraying Monica "Darling" Castello in 2017's action crime film "Baby Driver" (2017). She also has a role in James Cameron-produced cyberpunk action film "Alita: Battle Angel" which is based on Yukito Kishiro's manga "Gunnm" and is set to open in U.S. theaters on February 14, 2019.
