In a hilariously inept take on Victorian London’s most famous detective duo, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly reunite as the bumbling Sherlock Holmes and his loyal, if perpetually bewildered, companion Dr. Watson. When a terrifying threat emerges at Buckingham Palace, the self-proclaimed genius and his best friend leap into action to solve the case and prove their crime-fighting prowess. Their investigation pits them against the cunning Moriarty, played by Ralph Fiennes, and finds them crossing paths with a host of peculiar characters including a sharp American doctor (Rebecca Hall) and Holmes’s smarter brother, played by Hugh Laurie. This riotous comedy, directed by Etan Cohen, follows the pair as they bicker, blunder, and employ absurd deductive reasoning through a series of misadventures, all while the clock ticks down on a plot that could shake the British Empire to its core.
