The video, which has been garnering almost 3 million views on Twitter, sees the 'Mr. Robot' star and a fan awkwardly posing for a photo while the camera is actually set to video instead of photo.

AceShowbiz - Twitter offers a good laugh for the users on October 29 as a video of Rami Malek and one of his fan went viral. The hilarious video featured the "Bohemian Rhapsody" actor and a now-viral fan's encounter in New York City that quickly took a hilariuous turn.

19-year-old film major Xan Black approached the actor ahead of his scheduled Q&A session of the movie on Monday night. "I walked up to him very calmly--he was signing a poster--and I started recording, which, I don't know on my end if it was good to start with the video. Because what I do is try to get shout-outs for my friends, like video messages," Black recalled to The Cut.

In the 7-second clip that she shared on Twitter, Black could be heard saying, "Can you say hi to my friends?" to Malek while the phone was put on video recording mode. However, the "Mr. Robot" quickly reject the request, politely saying, "No but we can take a picture...is that alright?"

Black apologized and then the two awkwardly posed for a photo while the camera was actually set to video instead of photo. The super awkward moment was captured perfectly on the video which now has gained almost 3 million views in less than 24 hours. Additionally, it was retweeted for over 24,000 times and liked by almost 142,000 users. "THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST EMBARRASSING THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME," Black captioned it.

Black understood where Malek was coming though, saying, "I knew he was in a rush. He arrived at 9, the Q&A was at 9:15. And I don't know, it just felt kind of startling because I didn't expect that response for videos. And he's not obligated to do what I expect him to."

The actor himself had responded to the viral video after his publicist notified him of the video. "[My publicist] said, 'There's something I should make you aware of that’s getting a little bit of attention on the Internet,' " Malek told Vanity Fair. "Once someone says something like that to me, it is of course a moment of, 'What did I do?!' "

"I am happy to take photos with anyone," Malek added. "I just want to be aware of what people are doing in the moment. When someone films you automatically, it's a bit intrusive."

Malek admitted that he wasn't aware that he was being filmed by Black, hence the awkward moment-ensuing rejection. "People will pull you into their cameras, and sometimes you can watch them Instagram [that photo] within two seconds," the Golden Globe Award-winning actor said. "I can't quite wrap my head around [it]. … Something about it is not right and a bit unsettling."

But he revealed that he laughed it off and planned to bring the topic during his upcoming appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". "I'm going to do Ellen, and I'm thinking about bringing it up because I find it so funny," he shared.
