Although the anchor has apologized for her controversial remarks, Wendy Williams doesn't seem to be buying what she sells as calls her a liar.

AceShowbiz - The recent backlash that Megyn Kelly receives regarding her blackface comments seemingly cost her show. A new report suggest that the TV anchor is expected to be wrapping her 9 A.M. hour of the "Today" show soon.

Variety reports that Kelly and NBC News executives including NBC News chairman Andy Lack have had conversations in recent weeks, discussing the future of the show as well as a new role for her. It's said that Kelly has expressed her desire to do more politic coverage instead of talking about "light-hearted stories."

The site notes that the discussions took place before Kelly landed on hot water for her blackface remarks, for which she apologized. It's said that they're currently talking about the end date and other details.

Kelly's controversial remarks didn't also spark backlash among viewers but also folks on NBC. Lack expressed his disappointment, saying, "There is no other way to put this, but I condemn those remarks -- there is no place on our air or in this workplace for them. Very unfortunate." He added, "I think that 'Nightly' covered the story well last night and appropriately so. I think this morning on the 'Today' show, the team did an excellent job covering it properly."

Kelly talked about whether it's okay to dress up in blackface for Halloween in Tuesday, October 23, episode of "Today" with former "Fashion Police" host Melissa Rivers as well as her two NBC colleagues, Jacob Soboroff and Jenna Bush Hager. "You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween," Kelly noted. "Back when I was a kid, that was O.K., as long as you were dressing up as a character."

She went on talking about she didn't get why people called LuAnn de Lesseps racist for dressing up as Diana Ross for Halloween. "Who doesn't love Diana Ross? She wants to look like Diana Ross for one day. I don't know how that got racist on Halloween," she said.

Her comments didn't sit well with many people, prompting her to issue an apology through an internal email to her NBC colleagues. She wrote,"To me, I thought, why would it be controversial for someone dressing up as Diana Ross to make herself look like this amazing woman as a way of honoring and respecting her?" But she has realized "that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry. The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep."

Admitting that she's "never been a [politically correct] kind of person," she concluded her statement, "This is a time for more understanding, love, sensitivity and honor, and I want to be part of that. I look forward to continuing that discussion."

One particular person apparently is not buying her apology. Wendy Williams talked about it on her show, calling Kelly a liar and doubting her sincerity in the apology. "This is such a basic thing for such an educated woman to know. She was lying, number one. And number two, she had a whole bunch of black people in the audience saying" Wendy snarked. She went on saying, "I guess they got Gold Bond," referring to her beloved skin moisturizer she mentioned forgetting to use earlier in the show.
