Ending his run as Captain America, the actor says his last line wasn't as memorable as his last day on the set.

AceShowbiz - It was supposed to be a very exciting moment for the man behind Captain America to finally wrap his character's storyline in "Avengers 4". Unfortunately, this was not the case for Chris Evans.

Evans revealed at Ace Comic Con in Chicago on October 14 that his final line in the movie was really stupid. He said, "Well, you know, it was re-shoots, so you’re doing these little picks and pops, and it’s just little things that they need." Evans also explained "It might have been a line to Paul Rudd. He wasn’t there, but it was a stupid line. The line wasn’t memorable to me [laughs]. The day was more memorable than the line."

Evan confirmed on October 4 that he wrapped the filming on "Avengers 4" and ended his run as Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America. Moreover, Evans' tweet made many people think that Captain America would die in the upcoming release. He said, "Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful."

Speaking at the ACE Comic Con, the 37-year old actor clarified his tweet which many believe to have spoiled Captain America's death. "I should clarify that I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in someway a spoiler," he said.

He continued his clarification about his tweet, "I should clarify that regardless of how 'Avengers 4' ends, I would have tweeted the exact same thing. That last day of filming was a very emotional day and it was the culmination of almost 10 years of filming and 22 movies, this unbelievable tapestry."

Evans added, "You feel a lot more emotions than I think even I thought I would feel. And I felt it was appropriate to share the gratitude. I know it had a ripple effect but I am neither confirming or denying anything."

For MCU fans, "Avengers 4" seems like a very big mystery as Marvel Studios is doing an amazing job keeping everything under wraps, but Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner are expected to reprise their respective roles in the upcoming movie. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the still untitled "Avengers 4" is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on May 3, 2019.
