According to a source, it wasn't accidental that viewers did not see the former groupmates anywhere near each other.

AceShowbiz - It looks like there could be a brawl between Camila Cabello and her former Fifth Harmony members at the 2018 American Music Awards should the organization did not do this. Rumor has it, the Cuban songstress was purposely seated apart from Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei at the Tuesday, October 9 event.

As seen during the broadcast, Camila was seated in the front row alongside Taylor Swift. Lauren and Normani were seen nowhere near her as TMZ reported that the two were seated in totally different sections of the Microsoft Theater, not within shouting distance of each other. Thus, it wasn't accidental that the former groupmates were not seen anywhere near each other.

Should the report be true, it was a good choice to make Camila sat in the front row as she was announced as one of the biggest winners of the night. In addition to taking home New Artist of the Year, she won Favorite Collaboration of the Year, Favorite Song Pop/Rock and Favorite Music Video for her megahit "Havana".

Camila announced her departure from Fifth Harmony in December 2016, and sources told TMZ that there's till tension between her and her bandmates. It stems from the manner in which she left. The group implied in a statement that Camila did not personally reach out when she decided to leave, but the latter debunked it.

Earlier this year, Camila opened up about the reason why she decided to leave the group, sharing that the tension between them started when she collaborated with Shawn Mendes for "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Things only got worse when Camila expressed her interest in writing lyrics for future Fifth Harmony tracks, but "the other members shut her out instead."

"It became clear that it was not possible to do solo stuff and be in the group at the same time," she says, adding that she initially wanted to stay in the group while working on her solo album. Thus, she decided to leave the group, believing that "if anyone wants to explore their individuality, it's not right for people to tell you no."
