The veteran singer kicks off the show-closing set by delivering a tender version of the late Queen of Soul's 'Amazing Grace'.

AceShowbiz - The 2018 American Music Awards wrapped up with a tribute to Aretha Franklin. Introduced by host Tracee Ellis Ross, an all-star line up of Gladys Knight, Ledisi, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans and Mary Mary gathered onstage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on October 9 to honor the late Queen of Soul.

Following a video looking back at Franklin's history at the award-giving show, Knight opened the show-closing set with a tender version of "Amazing Grace" before McClurkin belted out "Climb Higher Mountains". The latter was used as the recessional song at Franklin's funeral.

Winans then took the stage to deliver a rousing rendition of "Mary Don't You Weep". Her performance was followed by Ledisi, who invited the crowd to dance along to "How I Got Over". Joined by a choir, Mary Mary closed the set with their gospel rendition of "Old Landmark".

Before Knight and the other veteran singer closed out the show, other singers showed off their best entertaining the audience with their own performances. Among them was one of the big winners of the night, Camila Cabello, who earned a standing ovation for her rendition of "Consequences".

Standing before a lone microphone in a half pink, half black ball gown, she started singing by herself until the orchestra kicked in. The "Havana" hitmaker showcased her amazing range of vocals during her performance, bringing the audience to their feet.

Another set that was worth mentioning was Dua Lipa's rendition of "One Kiss" and "Electricity". Gracing the stage at the annual event for the first time, the British singer sported baggy white pants, a neon pink crop top and shiny stickers all over her body.

For her first AMAs performance, Dua and her backup dancers turned the stage into a dimly lit, loft-like urban studio space. Staying true to her songs, her dance team broke off into pairs at one point and started to make out.
