AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle is not gonna let her half-sister Samantha's recent uninvited visit at Kensington Palace distract her, according to a new report. The report suggests that the Duchess of Sussex and the royal family are currently dealing with the situation without adding more fuel to the fire.
"The palace doesn't want to dignify any of it because it just adds fuel to the fire," a source reveals to Entertainment Tonight. "Samantha revels in the attention. Meghan is not corresponding with her sister or father [Thomas Markle]."
Instead of giving her sister's attention, Meghan is allegedly planning to focus on her duties as Duchess of Sussex. "Meghan loves her new role," says the source. "She takes it very seriously and wants to make a difference. She's mindful that she's representing the Queen and the royal family and doesn't want to put a foot wrong."
Additionally, the former "Suits" actress "realizes how important Harry's role is as the New Commonwealth Youth Ambassador and wants to support him." According to the source, the royal couple really thinks that they're "a great team."
Samantha, who appears to be in London since late September, was seen outside the palace gates with her male partner talking to security guards. The 53-year-old, who was in a wheelchair due to multiple sclerosis, was later snapped handing a letter to a palace guard. It was said that she got into a verbal "stand-off" with an officer guarding a security checkpoint.
"She went to the gates and tried to reason with them. She explained she had been in touch with palace Âofficials and claimed they had ignored her advances, leaving her no choice but to arrive uninvited," a source previously revealed to The Mirror. "She fully hoped they would let her in but she was turned away. She handed a letter to one of the guards in the hope they would pass it on. It was a sad sight."
Another photo, meanwhile, featured Samantha approaching a souvenir stand that sells masks bearing Meghan and Harry's faces. It appeared that she bought one apiece while sporting a huge smile on her face.
