AceShowbiz - Nikki Bella and John Cena clearly couldn't completely stay away from each other despite their latest split. The two were caught reuniting in Melbourne, Australia over the weekend. A fan shared a picture of the ex-couple walking together at a shopping center, though they showed no PDA.
It's unclear if the mall trip was a date or just a friendly outing. Both the 41-year-old wrestler-turned-actor and the 34-year-old model/wrestler performed at the WWE Super Showdown, which was held in Melbourne on Saturday, October 6.
Nikki and John's latest sighting came after the former said she and her ex were no longer on speaking terms after they broke up for the second time. "He's doing him and I'm doing me," she told "Entertainment Tonight" in September. "I slowly feel like I'm (taking time for myself). I think it's happiness, and just fully being happy and that's what I want."
Sharing about her single life, the reality TV star added, "I just feel like I'm at that age where I'm discovering who I really am and what I want out of life and just, like, independence. It is scary and you do have these moments of like, 'What am I doing?' - and fear. I just kind of am liking the challenge (sic)."
Nikki and John began dating in late 2012 and became engaged after the "Bumblebee" star proposed to Nikki at the Wrestlemania 33 event in April 2017. They planned to tie the knot on May 5 this year, but called off their engagement in April.
They appeared to be working to rebuild their relationship at the beginning of the summer, but the hope for reconciliation vanished when Nikki said they lost contact. However, wrestlingnews.co claimed that they're still together as John was recently reported flying to Tampa, Florida, where he shares a house with Nikki.
