The two original stars of the popular Broadway production will also be joined by Ariana Grande and Pentatonix at a concert-style TV show taped at Broadway's Marquis Theater.

AceShowbiz - Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth will reunite for a "Wicked" Halloween TV special next month.

"A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway" will be a concert-style show, featuring songs from the stage musical, according to Deadline. Ariana Grande, Pentatonix and the current "Wicked" cast will also appear in the special, which will be taped at Broadway's Marquis Theater.

"Wicked is a blockbuster musical playing all over the world and still selling out night after night after 15 years on Broadway, and we're thrilled to be partnering with Emmy and Tony-winning producer Marc Platt and the entire Wicked team to celebrate the enduring success of this show," Doug Vaughan, the executive vice president for special programs and late night at NBC Entertainment, says.

"We're especially excited to have Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth reunited along with big guest stars in front of an audience - in costume hopefully - to help us celebrate the Halloween season."

The TV special will be directed by Glenn Weiss, who hit the headlines earlier this month, when he proposed to his girlfriend onstage at the Emmy Awards while collecting the Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special honour for his work on the 2018 Academy Awards.
