AceShowbiz - Britney Spears made a blunder when she accidentally mixed up her concert location with another city.

The popstar wrapped up the final U.K. date of her "Britney Spears: Piece of Me Tour", in the city of Blackpool on Sunday, September 02 night. However, when she sauntered onstage to welcome the excitable audience, fans were bemused by her unexpected greeting.

"How you feeling Birmingham? I mean Black...Pool!" the 36-year-old shouted, which was met with a mixture of laughter and boos from the Blackpool residents. "I'm gonna get emotional with you guys. This is the last show of this evening," she added trying to deflect the gaffe with a comical accent.

Fans took to Twitter to comment on the hilarity of Britney's mistake, noting that the concert venue was in eyeshot of the city's most iconic attraction.

"@britneyspears fully embarrassed herself coming out saying 'hello Birmingham' when we were in BLACKPOOL and her stage was right next to THE BLOODY (Blackpool) TOWER," one noted, though another was more sympathetic, writing: "oops Britney said Birmingham instead of Blackpool last night lmao (laughing my a** off) oh well the poor woman was travelling all round the world and Blackpool is not as well known in the states."

However, her mix-up was not her first mistake of her U.K. leg, as she made a similar gaffe while performing at the Brighton Pride festival in August.

In videos uploaded online, the "Gimme More" hitmaker could be heard turning to a backing dancer and loudly asking "where are we?", before screaming "What's up Brighton Pride!"

The "Britney Spears: Piece of Me Tour" concludes on October 21 in Austin, Texas.
