AceShowbiz - Rapper Tyga has given music mogul Bryan 'Birdman' Williams another legal headache after suing him over royalties.

The Rack City hitmaker claims Birdman, bosses at his Cash Money record label, and executives at Young Money Entertainment owe him at least $1 million (GBP769,200) in royalties for his albums Careless World and Hotel California.

According to The Blast, the rapper, real name Micheal Stevenson, is suing for breach of contract, the money he is owed, and attorneys' fees.

Last year (17), Tyga, who cut his ties with his former record label bosses in 2015, claimed he had to pay to dump his contract and was still owed "at least $12 million". Tyga revealed he was waiting to file suit until after Lil Wayne completed his $51 million (£39.2 million) royalties battle against his former mentor, Williams, and his brother Ronald 'Slim' Williams, accusing them of withholding money he was owed for his long-delayed album Tha Carter V.

In May, court documents suggested Lil Wayne's attorney had filed a legal notice stating that all sides were prepared to dismiss the lawsuit and sources revealed Universal executives had agreed to pay to settle the case for a sum "well over $10 million (£7.7 million)".

And on Saturday, August 26, the Lollipop hitmaker and Birdman confirmed they had put their differences aside after Williams took to the stage at Lil WeezyAna Fest in New Orleans, Louisiana and apologised to his one-time protege.

"It feels amazing to be home f**king with my son, I love that n**ga to death," Birdman told the crowd. "I don't know what y'all know but I know what the f**k I know and I know how I feel about what I know. I knew this day was gonna come but I ain't know when it was gonna come (sic)."
