The actress, who is known for her role in 'Ranchi Diaries', is beyond happy to be a part of the project, describing it as a 'dream coming true' situation.

AceShowbiz - "Wonder Woman 1984", which is currently filming, just added Indian actress Soundarya Sharma to its cast. Details of her character are still unknown, but apparently, she will play an important character.

The actress stated that being a part of the project was a "dream coming true" situation. "This I can say is a 'dream coming true' situation. It's exhilarating to be a part of such a larger than life character film where you get to play your dream role," she gushed in a statement. "I have always dreamed of playing such a character and idolized it."

Directed by Petty Jenkins, the sequel of 2017's "Wonder Woman" is set in 1984, a few decades after the events in the first film. Gal Gadot will return to portray Amazonian goddess warrior Princess Diana a.k.a. Wonder Woman, while her co-star in "Wonder Woman", Chris Pine, will reprise his role as Diana's love interest Steve Trevor.

The two will be joined by "Game of Thrones" star Pedro Pascal, Ravi Patel and Kristen Wiig, whose credits include "The Martian" and "Sausage Party". Jenkins previously shared a first photo of Pascal's character. Based on the photo which featured Pascal wearing a suit while sitting on the backseat of a car, fans assumed that the actor would play Maxwell Lord.

Lord is known as a businessman who possesses a power of extreme mind control. As one of the greatest masterminds, he manipulates heroes into joining a new version of the super team that he was connected to as a part of a nefarious plan to save the world.

Wiig, meanwhile, will play villainous Cheetah a.k.a. Barbara Minerva, who is a British anthropologist and heiress who gained power of the cheetah after an expedition to an African jungle. She becomes obsessed with gaining treasures held by Wonder Woman. On the other hand, there's still no further information about Patel's role in the upcoming superhero movie.

"Wonder Woman 1984" is set to be released in U.S. theaters on November 1, 2019.
