Artists Rights Enforcement Corporation (AREC), which the former The Supremes star hired in 2002, is suing the singer for breach of contract and to recover the money they claim they are owed.

AceShowbiz - Former The Supremes star Mary Wilson is facing a lawsuit over music royalties.
The singer reportedly hired bosses at Artists Rights Enforcement Corporation (AREC) in 2002 to help her "collect royalties and money payable to her", and to "negotiate on her behalf with record companies that owed her royalties or money".
As part of their agreement, AREC executives were also entitled to a percentage of any "new royalties" she was not already receiving. They also reportedly helped Mary secure royalties from Universal Music Group (UMG) in 2004 and 2012.
According to The Blast, Wilson ended her working relationship with AREC bosses last month and subsequently struck a deal with UMG executives to collect royalties directly, which prompted AREC to launch the lawsuit.
They are suing for breach of contract and to recover the money they claim they are owed.
