The reason why the Migos member got mad at his fiancee apparently has something to do with the 'Bodak Yellow' rapper's prank on the award-giving event.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B's husband Offset got "mad" when the rapper opened the MTV Video Music Awards because he was convinced she was going to debut their baby.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker took to the stage at the Radio City Music Hall in New York to launch the 2018 prizegiving, and teased her fans by pretending to cradle her baby in a pink blanket onstage. She said she had a "little surprise" as she began to unwrap the blanket, leading many to think she was about to show off her month-old daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus. But it turned out it was just one of the VMA's Moon Person trophies.

Cardi has since revealed that her husband, Migos rapper Offset, was just as fooled as everybody else, and told Cardi after the show that he genuinely thought she was going to debut their baby publicly for the first time without consulting him.

"Why Set said i was sooo mad, when i saw you on stage with that blanket (sad face emoji) I thought you was going to show Kulture," she tweeted, followed by sad face and crying with laughter emojis.

Footage shown during the broadcast at that moment also seemed to show Offset and his Migos bandmates Quavo and Takeoff looking unsettled.

The duo have yet to debut their daughter and have reportedly turned down multiple magazine deals to keep her private.

The 25-year-old's appearance marked her return to the spotlight since giving birth to Kulture in July. She wore a couture fuchsia gown with thigh-high split by Nicolas Jebran for the red carpet before changing into a red strapless dress for her onstage appearance.

"I got a little surprise for ya...," Cardi said as she began to unwrap the blanket. After she pulled out the trophy, she yelled, "Welcome to the 2018 VMAs!" before introducing the event's first performer, Shawn Mendes.

Cardi was up for a total of 12 accolades, and won Best New Artist, Song of the Summer for her Bad Bunny and J Balvin collaboration, I Like It, and Best Collaboration for Dinero, with Jennifer Lopez and DJ Khaled.
