The original 'Deadpool 2' director's idea for the film included another Marvel superhero team besides X-Force.

AceShowbiz - "Deadpool 2" would've featured an epic crossover if Tim Miller had stayed on board as its director. The "Deadpool" helmer, who was initially attached to return for the sequel, planned to include another Marvel superhero team besides X-Force in the Ryan Reynolds-starring movie.

Concept artist Alexander Lozano revealed that Miller planned to feature the Fantastic Four in the R-rated sequel. The director's idea was to bring back Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell from the 2015 movie, which was a huge critical and commercial flop.

Lozano took to Instagram to share early concept art for "Deadpool 2" featuring the Fantastic Four members. The art in question showed the team's new suits. "Tim Miller was very precise when it came to the description of 'the thing'. he wanted to make sure that I orient myself in the design as close as possible to the comic template to finally give us, the fans, what we always wanted to see on the big screen," he explained the design for The Thing.

As for Johnny Storm/Human Torch's costume, Lozano used red to honor the short period when the character used the red uniform in the comics.

Lozano also revealed a villainous character that would've been featured in Miller's version of "Deadpool 2". Called Blaquesmith, he is described as "a villain who can master every weapon and transform anything into a weapon."

Unfortunately, that idea never saw the light of day as Miller was replaced with David Leitch after he and Reynolds experienced "mutual creative differences" over the development of the project. Words were the actor and producer wanted to make a "scrappy" and inexpensive sequel similar to "Deadpool", while Miller was interested in making more of a "stylized" sequel just like other big-budget superhero movies, which would have cost three times as much as the first movie.

Without Miller at the helm, "Deadpool 2" still went to become a big box office movie, grossing over $733 million worldwide after it was released on May 18 of this year. It has become the fifth highest-grossing film of 2018, the third highest-grossing R-rated film and the third highest-grossing X-Men film. It also received praises from critics, with some calling it better than the first film.
