AceShowbiz - Allison Mack's conversations about an alleged sex cult will reportedly be reviewed by lawyers.
The former Smallville actress was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and forced labour conspiracy in New York back in April, and subsequently indicted on a string of counts amid allegations suggesting she was second-in-command of the NXIVM collective, claimed to be run by Keith Raniere, and a sub-group, called Dominus Obsequious Sororium (DOS).
Now, according to editors at Page Six, U.S. government prosecutors involved in the NXIVM case will get to analyse "highly sensitive" chats from the alleged recruits.
New court documents filed in a federal court also contain photographs, footage of the women, letters and videos. Prosecutors allege that Raniere used to blackmail the "slaves" into performing sexual acts and being branded with his initials.
Earlier this week, Mack's former co-star Michael Rosenbaum opened about the actress' involvement with alleged sex cult, and said the news was "shocking and surprising".
However, he recalled the 36-year-old once mentioning an organisation that he felt was a "little culty".
The 46-year-old played Lex Luther alongside Mack for seven seasons of Smallville, and told This Past Weekend podcast in a new interview: "It's like someone telling you that your brother murdered someone. You're like, 'No, he didn't. I know my brother. He wouldn't kill anybody'.
"I thought she would be married with kids. She was smart, and her family was into music and opera and stuff, and sort of upper class," he continued. "I don't know what that means, but she had her stuff together. You just don't ever really know someone".
