Slated to be released this autumn, the new album will be the singer's first album in almost a decade.

AceShowbiz - Singer and actress Ashley Tisdale is gearing up to release her first album in nearly a decade.

The "High School Musical" star's last record, "Guilty Pleasure", dropped in 2009 and was well-received by fans, and now she is finally ready to share the new material she has been working on in recent years.

Ashley has announced her third album will be titled "Symptoms", and explains she took her time with the project to ensure she recorded the best music possible.

"I'm so excited for this album," the 33-year-old tells Billboard in a press release. "I've been in and out of the studio for the last four years and teaming up with (writer/producer) John Feldmann has allowed me to create the most authentic album to date. I've co-written every song on the album and it's so personal to me. Looking forward to sharing it with everyone!"

Feldmann, the lead singer and guitarist for Los Angeles ska punk band Goldfinger, loved producing Ashley's record and insists the quality of the songs on the album makes the nearly decade-long wait worth it.

"It has been an absolute pleasure working with Ashley on this album!" the 51-year-old rocker gushes. "Can't wait for the world to hear this... We collaborated with some amazing writers on this album and I think the nine-year wait in between albums will have been worth it!"

"Symptoms" will be released this autumn.

In between albums, Ashley became a wife, marrying musician Christopher French in 2014, and built up her style resume, becoming a fashion designer thanks to her collaboration with Signorelli in 2016, and launching her own cosmetics line, Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale.
