AceShowbiz - A man shot outside a Meek Mill concert in 2016 has offered to drop his lawsuit against the rapper and venue bosses for $500,000 (GBP381,000).
Nathan Mitchell has filed an "offer of compromise" in his ongoing legal battle, according to The Blast.
Last year, he teamed up with the estate of Travis Ward to sue Meek Mill, promoters Live Nation, Roc Nation and the Oakdale Musical Theatre Company over a fatal shooting outside the rapper’s concert in Connecticut.
Ward was killed and Mitchell was injured.
In the suit, the plaintiffs accused Meek and Oakdale bosses of being negligent for failing to provide adequate security at the show, citing past gun attacks at the rap star's concerts and his violent lyrics as reasons for taking better precautions.
Mitchell claimed he had suffered anxiety, fear, severe pain, scarring, and fear of death following the incident.
Meek has denied all allegations he was negligent, insisting the incident was out of his control.
The rapper spent the first few months on 2018 behind bars for probation violations linked to an arrest a decade ago. Meek, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, was released from prison in Pennsylvania in April after serving five months in jail.
