Jessica Reid has been trying to reopen the case with claims that she was raped by the DJ, but it can't be 'resurrected' as the State is required by law to honor the agreement they made with him.

AceShowbiz - Charlamagne Tha God has reportedly avoided facing further charges of sexual assault.

The U.S. radio presenter and TV personality was arrested in 2001 on the charge of sexual misconduct with a minor after Jessica Reid, then aged 15, accused him of rape.

At the time, he pleaded guilty to the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and agreed with county officials in Berkeley County, South Carolina, that the rape charge would be dismissed.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Reid, now 32, has been trying to reopen the case with claims that she was raped by the DJ.

But Charlamagne, real name Lenard Larry McKelvey, will escape being tried for a second time on the charge of rape as the state is required by law to honour the agreement made in 2001, legal officials told the news outlet, adding that the case could not be "resurrected" now.
