The former 'Girls' star is thankful that she can enjoy summer without needing hospital treatment now, after spending last summer in and out of hospital because of her endometriosis.

AceShowbiz - Lena Dunham is "pulsing with gratitude" a year on from spending the summer in and out of hospital because of her endometriosis.
"Girls" creator and star Lena has had a very public battle with the painful condition, where tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus, grows on the outside.
Earlier this year, the 32-year-old had her cervix and uterus removed in a total hysterectomy in a bid to ease the pain. She's also undergone countless other surgeries, including numerous procedures last year.
Taking to Instagram celebrate not needing hospital treatment right now, Lena reflected on how endometriosis has previously blighted her life.
"This time last year I lived my life appointment to appointment. This time last year I took hospital gown selfies like they were the norm. This time last year I'd lost hope in my body every being reliable again. A lot has conspired to make this summer very different, and I am truly pulsing with gratitude. But also, if I were on Tinder this would be my pic," she wrote next to a nearly topless image of herself in a hospital gown.
In May 2017, Lena was forced to cancel her Lenny IRL tour after her physical pain from complications linked to endometriosis prompted her to seek medical help after the Met Gala in New York - a month after she was told she was free from the illness following another operation.
Opening up about her hysterectomy in an essay for U.S. Vogue, the actress explained how doctors found her inner organs in a terrible condition, and that although she can no longer bear children, she is going to explore her motherhood options in the future.
