AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes has warned fans his hellraising days may be just two years away.

The In My Blood singer has avoided the pitfalls of teen fame so far, since breaking out as a social media sensation, thanks to his support system.

"I think I've been really lucky to have a good foundation of people around me...," he tells Wonderland magazine. "I'm just a normal person and nobody talks me up too much. Support is there when you need it, but not when it's not needed.

"I think it's really important to keep your feet on the ground."

But the 19-year-old might just go off the rails, just like his hero Justin Bieber did a few years ago.

"You never know though, give it a couple more years...," he jokes. "I haven't had a chance (to be wild). I just need a few years! Don't jinx me!"
