The proceeds will benefit the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which helps raise funds for and awareness about the treatment of chronic diseases.

AceShowbiz - Hitmaker Moby is selling off his record collection for charity.

The online sale will begin on Thursday, June 14 on the Reverb LP website and proceeds will benefit the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which helps raise funds for and awareness about the treatment of chronic diseases.

The sale will also include material from the We Are All Made of Stars hitmaker's catalogue and 12-inch singles he played while DJ-ing in the 1980s and 1990s, according to RollingStone.com.

"These are all the records that I bought and loved and played and carried all around the world," Moby says in a video. "I would rather you have them than me, because if you have them, you'll play them, you'll love them, and the money will go to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. So everybody wins. Well, except me, because now I don't have any records".

This isn't the first time Moby has helped raise money for the organisation - in April, the electronic dance musician sold off equipment and gear from a storage locker to benefit the group.
