AceShowbiz - Meek Mill's lawyers are hoping lawsuits the judge overseeing the rapper's probation violation has filed in the past will help them get her removed from his case.

The Dreams and Nightmares hitmaker spent five months in prison before his release in April, after lawmakers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania overturned Judge Genece Brinkley's decision to keep him locked up for violating his probation, linked to a 2008 drug and gun bust. His punishment was widely considered overly harsh and Brinkley was accused of waging a personal vendetta against him.

Meek's lawyers are committed to having her removed from the case and vacating the original conviction, claiming the arresting officer has been named as part of a local police corruption scandal, but they have not been successful so far.

They have now filed legal papers claiming Brinkley's 2014 trauma claim against bosses at a hotel suggest she's not fit to preside over the case. According to TMZ, Brinkley claimed she was "traumatised" when she found a housekeepers name tag in her bed at the hotel. She also claimed she suffered "severe head trauma" and "neurological" injuries from a car accident in a 2016 lawsuit.

Judges at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court have yet to rule on Meek's request, but a state judge recently denied it.

Meanwhile, a hearing is scheduled for later this month, when it will be determined if the drug and weapons case from a decade ago should be thrown out.
