Kevin Parker didn't realise his music had been featured on the 'Gold Digger' rapper's new album until he heard the track during a live stream.

AceShowbiz - Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker was unaware his work had made it onto Kanye West's highly anticipated new album, "Ye".

The Australian singer and guitarist has been confirmed as a guest on the seven-track album, which Kanye previewed to family and friends at a listening party in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on Thursday, May 31 night.

But the 32-year-old didn't realise his music had been featured until he heard the track during Wav app's live stream of the event.

Speaking to Australian radio station triple j, he admitted to show host Linda Marigliano his initial reaction had been "Holy sh*t!", before adding: "That's such weird timing! I had this weird premonition of this exact scenario."

Parker went on to discuss how his music came to be on the rapper's album, explaining that Kanye had invited him to send over any beats he was working on as he composed the album.

The "Keep On Lying" hitmaker responded by sending a production that sampled "You Keep Me Hangin' On" by 1960's psych-rockers Vanilla Fudge, but assumed his contribution hadn't made the cut when the Stronger singer failed to reply.

"I was like, 'Oh, he obviously hasn't used it'," Parker continued to Marigliano. "I hadn't heard anything back and wasn't invited (to Wyoming) - that doesn't bode well."

Kid Cudi, Nas, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty, Teyana Taylor, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, actor Jonah Hill, conservative commentator Candace Owens, Kim Kardashian, and comedian Chris Rock, who introduced the album, were among the celebrities in attendance.

However, Parker was excited to hear a sample from his work on the second to last track of the album, "Ghost Town", which features Kid Cudi rapping over a frenzied guitar line.

Meanwhile, Parker will return to the U.K. next month for Tame Impala's headline performance at London's Citadel Festival.
