AceShowbiz - Mark Wahlberg is bringing back long-running educational show Captain Kangaroo to get American kids interested in science and engineering.

The actor admits he was shocked by his own kids' lack of interest and decided to turn to a character he loved as a kid.

"I'm trying to find new ways to get my kids interested in science, technology, engineering, things like that," he tells talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. "Mathematics, which is the worst.

"What made me interested in school was Captain Kangaroo, which ran for, like, 30 years. They did 50 seasons. We are bringing back a cool STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) scientist as Captain Kangaroo."
