AceShowbiz - Model-turned-fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons has secured her business degree after graduating from school in Connecticut.
The ex-wife of disgraced Def Jam Recordings co-founder Russell Simmons took to Instagram on Monday, May 21 to share video footage of herself dressed in the traditional graduation gown as she attended the celebratory ceremony at the University of Hartford's Barney School of Business.
The Instagram clip featured Kimora wearing a medal around her neck as she tossed her cap to her eight-year-old son, Kenzo, from her relationship with actor Djimon Hounsou.
"Passing the torch," she wrote in the accompanying caption.
Kimora, who also has two daughters with Russell and a young son called Wolfe with her current husband Tim Leissner, previously shared the news of her school enrollment in a social media post in March.
"I taught an entrepreneurship/ business class today as well as gave a lecture at University of Hartford, where I'm also a #student," she posted.
Kimora is the latest celebrity to go back to school - Tyra Banks, LL Cool J, Katie Holmes, and Swizz Beatz have all taken higher education courses in recent years.
