AceShowbiz - "Fast and Furious 9" may not arrive until 2020. However, it seems like the wait is worth it since star Vin Diesel teases that the upcoming movie will be "bigger" than the previous films in the franchise.

"It does get bigger," the Dominic Toretto depicter said during an interview on "Today" to promote Universal Orlando's new Fast & Furious ride alongside his "Fast and Furious" co-stars Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris on Thursday, May 3.

The actor further revealed that Justin Lin would be directing "Fast and Furious 9" and "Fast and Furious 10". "I just got off the phone with Justin Lin, who is directing 'Fast 9' and 'Fast 10', and I can't tell you how excited he is," Vin shared.

Lin is no stranger to directing "Fast and Furious" movies. In fact, the filmmaker directed some of the most widely celebrated flicks of the franchise, including "Fast Five". Him returning to serve behind the lense may be exciting news for fans, especially after F. Gary Gray's "The Fate of the Furious" premiered to lukewarm reactions at best.

During the interview, Vin also teased one of the new locations in the next two movies. He added, "We haven't been to Africa, I can tell you that. And we are long overdue."

While fans get more new details about "Fast 9", it is still unclear whether or not Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be reprising his role as Luke Hobbs in the movie following his feud with Vin. Earlier last month, the "Moana" voice actor said that he's "not quite sure" about returning.

"Right now I'm concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be" he explained. "But I wish him [Vin] all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about 'no ill will.' We'll just keep it with the clarity."

Dwayne and Vin's beef started during the production of "The Fast and the Furious" in 2016. The former called out some of his male co-stars for being "candy a**es" and "unprofessional" in an Instagram video.
