Meek's lawyer Joe Tacopina slams Judge Genece Brinkley who refused to recuse herself from the case after Philadelphia lawmakers overturned the judge's decision and granted the rapper bail.

AceShowbiz - Meek Mill's lawyer has lashed out at the judge who sent his client to jail after she refused to step down from the case following the rapper's release on Tuesday, April 24. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania lawmakers overturned Judge Genece Brinkley's decision not to grant Meek bail last week (ends April 20), and set him free on Tuesday afternoon.
They did not insist she recuse herself from the case, but stated she "may opt to remove herself from presiding over this matter... in the interest of justice."
However, Judge Brinkley is determined to see the case out after jailing the rap star for a probation violation in November 2017, linked to a drug and guns arrest a decade ago.
And now Meek's lawyer Joe Tacopina, who has been trying to remove Brinkley from the case for months, fears she can't take a hint. "(It's) a little sad and a little delusional," he tells TMZ, while attacking the judge for suggesting Meek Mill's 2008 conviction will stand if other cops come forward.
The arresting officer was named as part of a local police corruption scandal, and had been accused of lying under oath to put Meek behind bars. The judge was asked to toss the MC's initial 2008 conviction by prosecutors, but she refused.
The next hearing in the case will take place in June, when it will be determined if the drug and weapons case should be thrown out.
